Be careful about not eating too much salty foods when doing heavy hiking in high heat or desert areas though, because you can become dehydrated more quickly. Always wear woolen socks to keep the feet dry and comfortable. Not only because you hiked to the top, but once there you are usually rewarded with a view that isn't possible anywhere else. As you get used to it, you will quickly find you are losing weight and gaining a lot of definition in your body.
Having the wrong outdoor camping equipment on a rock climbing trip can be very dangerous. Should the lantern get knocked over or get too close to flammable materials it could start a fire. Think about purchasing hiking boots like searching for a hotel on your honeymoon. Things seem so huge when you're a small child.
For the seasoned backpackers and campers, the A-frame style tent and backpacking tent are the ones to choose because it is lightweight and simple to set-up. Notify family, neighbors or people of importance that you are going and when you are expected back from your hiking trip. Many of the patrons of climbing gyms are serious climbers practicing skills and keeping themselves in physical shape. The sport can get expensive when you start thinking about flying off to exotic locations to climb some beast of a cliff.
Try to bring as much bottled water with you as possible. Leave nothing unchecked and you will enjoy a great camping season with your camping essentials.
