If you are going to use candles you will have to be very careful that you do not start a fire. If you have any problems with pain when hiking, you should probably carry aspirin or other pain relief, even on short hikes. A good flashlight always comes in handy especially at remote locations. If you are walking at night never shine your flash light at any moving vehicles.
There are so many more constellations to gaze at when you get away from the light pollution of the cities and suburbs. Hiking and climbing are fairly inexpensive sports, so get out there.
